Dr. Charles J. Zimmermann was born and raised in Escanaba, Michigan and received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1987. Dr. Zimmermann earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a Surgical Residency at Oakwood Medical Center (Knoxville, TN) in 1992. Dr. Charles J. Zimmermann is an active member of the Medical staff at Lexington Surgery Center. His professional affiliations include the Kentucky Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, American Diabetes Association and the American Running and Fitness Association.
Dr. Charles J. Zimmermann is an avid sports fan, especially for the UK Wildcats. On his charitable side, Dr. Zimmermann is involved with the Surgery on Sunday program. He currently lives in Lexington.
